Paintball Fun (Spring Hill Farm)
Prices(*): $25 for 2 hours. Includes equipment rental and 100 paintballs; $40 for 4 hours and 200 paintballs; $55 for 8 hours and 400 paintballs. Extra paint is from $9/100 or $7/100 depending on how much you buy. Field Paint(*): Big Ball $10, $20, $25 surcharge for NFP depending on how long you're going to play. Rentals(*): Stingray only. Fields(****): Two outdoor speedball, three wooded and one scenario (a fort-type assault). They claim to have an indoor, but I have been there about a dozen times and have never seen it. Fields are all nice with good bunkers and well kept. Comments: Flag stations are not so hot. They rape you on paint. This place is good for (a) newbies who don't know how much they should be paying; (b) huge groups of 20 or more; (c) fanatics with more money than sense. Reffing is usually done by fanatics or punks. Only 1 or 2 good refs in the bunch. Fills are expensive too. Overall Rating: * ------------------------------ Bullit County Indoor Paintball Prices(***): $10 for as long as you want to play. $5 or $10 for equipment rental. Paint is $4/100 or less for half and full case purchases (like $80 or $85 per case). Field Paint(***): Proball and Zap $10 surcharge for NFP. Rentals(***): Stingray ($5) or Tippmann Model98 ($10) Fields(*): One indoor field with plenty of bunkers. Comments: Game play is total elimination. No flag stations. Floor is mulch with only fair traction. Games go quick. Reffing is good. Overall Rating: *** -------------------------------- Floyd County Conservation Club Prices(****): $5 for as long as you want to play (or $1 if you become a member of FCCC- costs $35) Field Paint(-): Whatever you bring Rentals(-): Whatever you bring Fields(***): Comments: Game play is total elimination. No flag stations. No equipment rental or paint except for bring your own. Fills for CO2 and air can usually be accomodated. Great core group of players with excellent sportsmanship. No refs, but none really needed with these guys. Overall Rating: *** ------------------------------- C. O. Paintball Prices(**): $10 to play all day; $10 for equipment rental; $5-6/100 paint Field Paint(**): Proball $10 surchargs for NFP Rentals(****): Automag Classics! Fields(** ): One indoor field with good bunkers, dirt floor. Comments: Bunkers are all caked THICK with paint. Onsite shop and airsmith. Only played here once. Overall Rating: ** ---------------------------------------------- Condor's Army Surplus and Paintball Supply Prices(** ): Not sure, but I've heard they're average. Field Paint(** ): Proball and Zap (when I went for the 1940's Dunkirk Scenario in 1999) Rentals(***): Tippmann Carbines and Prolites I think. Fields(****): Several wooded fields, one with a two-story fort. Two speedball fields. Comments: Only played once in the scenario game (Germans), but reffing seemed good and facilities were good. Overall Rating: *** |
